Job summary

AdventHealth in the United States is seeking a Nutrition Services support role to update patient menus and ensure accurate diet orders. You will help maintain inventory for menus and office supplies while handling data entry and inquiries from patients, nurses, and physicians.

Role requires knowledge of therapeutic diets, strong communication, and English proficiency; bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred. This is a PRN/part-time position in our Nutrition Services team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred in management, liberal arts, nutrition, or business.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Field of Study: management, liberal arts, food and nutrition or business.

Responsibilities

• Update patient menus to reflect diet orders, discharges, and transfers.
• Maintain stock of patient menus and office supplies.
• Perform data entry and computer tasks for menu selections.
• Communicate dietary consults and referrals to Nutrition Services Team.
• Support accurate menu planning and nutrition care.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Update patient menus consistently to reflect changes in diet orders, discharges, and transfers, maintaining accuracy and compliance.

Maintain sufficient stock of patient menus and office supplies to support uninterrupted and efficient service delivery.

Perform data entry and computer-based tasks with precision while taking patient menu selections and resolving inquiries from patients, nurses, and physicians.

Other duties as assigned.

Apply comprehensive knowledge of regular and therapeutic diets to support accurate menu planning and patient nutrition care.

Communicate dietary consults, referrals, and other critical information promptly to the Nutrition Services Team to ensure coordinated care.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent communication skills [Required]
• Ability to apply therapeutic diet parameters. [Required]
• Ability to explain nutrition related queries and have sound understanding of all the related terms. [Required]
• Ability to use common software applications and hardware (e.g., iPad, Toughbook) [Required]
• Ability to complete multiple detail-oriented task/responsibilities in time sensitive environment. [Required]
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English and understand food service terms. [Required]
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) [Preferred]

Work Experience

• 2+ customer service experience [Required]
• Previous call center or diet office experience [Preferred]
• Previous Healthcare foodservice experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications

• Food Handler Certificate (FHC) [Preferred]
