Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a healthcare office administrator to support scheduling, payments, and records management at our Kansas facility. The role collaborates with leadership to ensure timely project completion and adherence to privacy regulations.

Strong customer service and clear communication are essential for frontline patient interactions. Requires an Associate degree (preferred) or high school diploma/equivalent, and at least 1 year of related experience.

• Ability to communicate effectively over the phone and in person.
• General clerical skills are required.

Job Description

• Collaborates with leadership to provide accurate and timely completion of projects.
• Schedules patient appointments and collects payments.
• Maintains confidentiality of medical records and other sensitive information.
• Adheres to the Corporate Compliance plan and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
• Organizes and maintains the department filing system efficiently.
• Processes and distributes incoming, outgoing, and interoffice mail (including faxes).
• Performs daily reconciliation of payments and adjustments.
• Demonstrates knowledge and maintenance of office equipment, including phone systems, photocopiers, computers, fax machines, and calculators.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Answers and routes phone calls using good judgment, ensuring messages are relayed timely and accurately.
