Job summary

Horizons Care Center in Eckert, CO is seeking a Part-Time Dietary Assistant to join our caring team. The role focuses on providing quality food service to residents, meeting nutritional and individual needs, and supporting a warm, resident-centered environment.

This position offers 25 hours per week, on-site work, and a pay range of $17.40 to $19.65 per hour based on experience. We value teamwork, growth, and a mission-driven workplace in a beautiful Delta County setting.

Qualifications

• Previous institutional dietary service experience.
• Ability to read and understand procedures used for work assignments, instructions, recipe directions and diet order cards.
• Numerical ability for recipe preparation and proper measuring of cleaning agents and chemicals.
• Coordination and dexterity for preparing food and operating dietary equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• The Dietary Assistant role is to provide quality food service in accordance with all State and Federal regulations and to meet the nutritional and individual needs of the residents.
• Assists in defined food preparation, serving of meals and cleaning duties according to proper procedures, using various dietary equipment and supplies, as assigned by the Director of Food and Nutrition Services, Management Team and/or Cook.
• Understands and follows procedures related to all duties or special assignments as directed by the Director of Food and Nutrition Services, Management Team and/or Cook.
