Job summary

PACS is seeking a Dietary Aide to support daily food service operations in a health care setting. You will learn routines quickly, assist with trays, dishwashing, and serving, while keeping the kitchen clean and safe.

Responsibilities include recording temperatures, maintaining sanitation, and supporting the dietary supervisor. Must have a high school diploma and obtain a food handlers' certificate; teamwork and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain food handlers' certificate.
• Ability to read technical procedures, follow recipes, and communicate with managers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routines quickly.
• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwashing machine.
• Observe water temperatures during dishwashing cycles.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen.
• Carry out trash and garbage.
• Store groceries safely and neatly.
• Maintain clean, sanitary kitchen and readiness to assist cooks or dietary supervisor.
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
• Work cooperatively with personnel across departments.
