Job summary

PACS is looking for a Dietary Aide to support daily kitchen operations and ensure safe, sanitary meals for residents. You will learn routines quickly, assist with meal tray setup, serve meals, and help with dishwashing under supervision.

Key duties include maintaining dishwashing sanitation, preparing nourishments, and keeping work areas clean. The role requires teamwork, following recipes, and adhering to food-handling standards in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn food service routines quickly.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and procedures.
• Must obtain and maintain a food handlers' certificate.

Responsibilities

• Learn the food service routine and contribute to meal setup.
• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Strip down returned trays and wash dishes.
• Observe and record dishwasher water temperature and chlorine levels.
• Operate the dishwasher and maintain sanitation standards.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks for residents.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain kitchen floors and surfaces.
• Carry out trash removal and organize groceries.
• Participate in staff orientation and ongoing training.
• Work cooperatively with personnel across departments.
