Job summary

Dallas County Hospital is seeking a Dietary Aide for PRN shifts to support patient meals, cafeteria service, and daily kitchen operations. The role includes planning diet-appropriate food, plating trays, delivering to patient areas, and maintaining sanitary standards.

Experience preferred, but training will be provided. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to assist with department orientation and daily menu records.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Check census menu and plan food preparations for correct diets.
• Set up trays according to diet.
• Deliver trays to patient areas.
• Remove trays from patient areas and cafeteria.
• Wash dishes and put away.
• Assist with any needed preparations for Spring Valley.
• Check menu and plan food preparations for cafeteria line.
• Set up cafeteria for employee breaks and noon meals.
• Do plating and pre-prep work as asked.
• Set up cafeteria, stock patient areas refrigerator, record daily menu.
• Carry out all sanitary and safety rules.
• Help orientate new employees to department.
