Job summary

FutureCare Health seeks a Dietary Aide/Porter to join the Food & Hospitality Department, assisting in meal service, food sanitation, and safe serve policies to support resident nutrition. You’ll help deliver meals, maintain dining area cleanliness, and ensure proper food storage and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous healthcare facility experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Courteous and friendly at all times
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to stand for 8 hours or longer
• Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs
• Ability to interact with residents and staff respectfully
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods
• Serve and deliver food to residents as required
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas as assigned
• Properly store food utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage
• Transport/deliver food/beverage items to assigned residents
• Assist Lead Porter or other staff in lifting or transporting large utilities within the kitchen area
• Load/operate dishwasher machine
• Ensure proper temperature, chemical supplies, and clean water levels are maintained for proper sanitation
