Sandpiper Healthcare & Rehab Center in Wichita, KS is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meals for patients and staff in the nursing center. You will assist the cook, prepare nourishments, and manage portions and beverages according to center procedures.

This role emphasizes teamwork, basic sanitation, and safety, with prior food service and long-term care experience preferred. Strong verbal and written communication is essential to coordinate with kitchen and care staff.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand English for business necessity.
• Basic understanding of sanitation, organization and safety.
• Prior experience in food service preferred.
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists cook as directed by the food service director.
• Prepares and labels nourishments according to center procedures.
• Prepares and portions desserts, salads and other non-entrée foods into dishes; pours beverages.
• Follows production sheets and pre-preparation sheets or guidelines when appropriate.
