Job summary

Recover-Care is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in meal preparation, service, and cleanup for patients and staff in the nursing center and during special events. This role supports the food service director and cooks, preparing nourishments and labeling items according to center procedures.

The position emphasizes safety, sanitation, and teamwork in a healthcare setting. Prior experience in food service and long-term care is preferred, with opportunities for growth within a compassionate care

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand English for business necessity.
• Basic understanding of sanitation, organization and safety.
• Prior experience in food service preferred.
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists cook as directed by the food service director.
• Prepares and labels nourishments according to center procedures.
• Prepares and portions desserts, salads and other non-entrée foods into dishes; pours beverages.
• Follows production sheets and pre-preparation sheets or guidelines when appropriate.
