Job summary

Kenwood View Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with meals for patients and staff, including preparation, service, and cleanup. You will follow center procedures and production guidelines to ensure quality and safety.

The ideal candidate communicates well, reads English, understands sanitation basics, and has prior food service experience; long-term care experience is preferred. This is an on-site role at the nursing center.

Qualifications

• The dietary aide candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand English for business necessity.
• Basic understanding of sanitation, organization and safety.
• Prior experience in food service preferred.
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists cook as directed by the food service director
• Prepares and labels nourishments according to center procedures
• Prepares and portions desserts, salads and other non-entrée foods into dishes; pours beverages
• Follows production sheets and pre-preparation sheets or guidelines when appropriate
