Qualifications

• Independent work capability to manage meal service for 20 residents
• Some food service work experience required
• Great communication skills are required

Responsibilities

• Handle, transport and plate food for residents, guests and employees.
• Plate food according to the planned menu using standard recipes.
• Plate food items following portion guidelines and garnishing instructions.
• Assist other kitchen staff as needed; perform duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Ensure sufficient food is prepped and/or prepared; communicate shortages or outages.
• Ensure freshness, cooking status and proper temperature of all food being served.
• Maintain daily logs, postings and documentation for meal services.
• Stock and clean station for next shift; follow rotation policies.
• Operate equipment safely and report discrepancies to executive chef.
