We are seeking a Part Time Dietary Aide to join our team!

Hospital Details

SKY REHAB, located in Bowling Green, KY, is a 60-bed inpatient rehab providing rehabilitative services to people recovering from disabilities caused by injuries or illnesses. We help our patients regain their physical or cognitive abilities so they can return home at their highest level of independence. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly environment where you really get to know your patients and their families. SKY Rehab Hospital is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for various services and specialty programs, including Inpatient Rehabilitation (Adults, Adolescents, and Children), Brain Injury, and Stroke programs. It is also accredited by The Joint Commission.

Responsibilities

Performs duties necessary for the operation of the food service department, including preparing food, assembling patient trays, tray line assembly, delivering trays, and serving in the cafeteria. Responsible for cleanup in kitchen and dining areas, including dishwashing. May handle cashiering duties. Accepts dietary supplies deliveries, inspects products for freshness and accuracy, and assists in food store rotation and expiration monitoring.

Required Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of dietary aide experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Food handling certification as required by State regulations.

Additional Qualifications/Skills

• Six months of previous food service experience preferred; healthcare food service experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets is preferred.
• Professional image projection.
• Understanding of regulatory standards and compliance.
• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
• Working knowledge of relevant computer and software applications.
• Free from illegal drug use and effects of substance use in the workplace.
