  • We are hiring immediately for part-time PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE/DIETARY AIDE positions.
  • Location: Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center - 200 Hawthorne Lane, Charlotte, NC 28204. Note: online applications accepted only.
  • Schedule: Part-time; days and hours may vary. Twelve-hour shifts. Rotating weekends. More details upon interview.
  • Requirement: Prior serving, food service, or customer service experience required.
  • Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates work in healthcare units, assisting patients with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and retrieving meal trays. They ensure meals are accurate, timely, and meet safety standards, contributing to patient safety and satisfaction.

  • Assist patients with menu choices, ensuring dietary needs are met.
  • Coordinate with staff to accommodate allergies, sensitivities, and cultural preferences.
  • Manage tray tickets, assemble meals, and retrieve trays on schedule.
  • Follow regulatory standards, confidentiality, and HIPAA policies.
  • Adhere to HACCP guidelines and infection control policies.
  • Support dietitians in monitoring patients on special diets or with specific calorie needs.
  • Report issues promptly and complete required documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food carts.
