Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates work on assigned units, assisting patients with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and retrieving meal trays, ensuring meals are accurate and timely to meet safety and satisfaction goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist patients with menu choices and coordinate with nursing to meet their nutritional needs.
• Determine menu options for patients with allergies, cultural, or religious preferences.
• Manage tray tickets, assemble meals, and retrieve trays efficiently.
• Comply with regulatory standards and confidentiality policies, including HIPAA.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for food safety and cleanliness.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients with special dietary needs.
• Communicate patient concerns promptly.
• Complete required reports and adhere to sanitation regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food carts.
