Job summary

Pearl of St. Charles is seeking a Dietary Aide for part-time or full-time opportunities in our long‑term care kitchen. This role supports the Dietary Manager and Cook, assists with meal preparation and serving, and ensures meals meet schedules and quality standards.

Qualifications include a High School diploma and prior institutional dietary service experience is preferred. Must be able to read recipes, follow diet orders, and lift up to 50 lbs. Flexible hours may be required for emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, understand and follow recipe directions and diet orders.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks with interruptions.
• Good motor coordination and manual dexterity for food prep and cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Perform defined work routines using dietary utensils and equipment.
• Assist cook in meal preparation and service.
• Meet scheduled meal and snack times.
• Follow Federal and State long term care regulations and department policies.
• Follow cleaning schedules and maintain sanitation standards.
• Assist in tray card preparation, loading carts and serving meals.
• Set up dining room and serve residents.
• Wash and store dishes.
• Maintain safe lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Report supplies and equipment needs and any repairs.
• Follow infection control policies and HIPAA regulations.
