Job summary

Pearl of Elk Grove is seeking a Dietary Service Aide to support residents with meals in a home-like setting. You will set up dining areas, assist with meal prep, deliver trays, and help with post-meal cleanup while maintaining cleanliness and safety.

Ideal candidates have dietary aide experience, knowledge of sanitation guidelines, good communication, and the stamina for a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; food service certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven dietary aide experience or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of sanitation and food-safety guidelines.
• Ability to prepare meals per instructions and use kitchen equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Set up tables and dining areas with precision, emphasizing cleanliness and order.
• Prepare meals under guidance of a dietary manager or cook, ensuring safety.
• Deliver dishes and trays to designated rooms on time.
• Assist in post-meal cleanup and clearing dining areas.
• Maintain hygiene by disposing of leftovers and taking out garbage.
• Keep food stations clean and wash dishes and utensils.
• Monitor ingredient stock levels and maintain inventory.
• Contribute to upkeep of kitchen equipment and appliances.
