Job summary

White Acres Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking a cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in a timely and appealing manner, in compliance with federal, state, and corporate requirements.

The role requires maintaining safety and cleanliness, and may involve supervising staff in the Director of Nutritional Services' absence. Candidates with prior food service or long-term care experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Basic understanding of cleanliness, organization and safety.
• Prior food service and/or long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious and attractive meals and supplements for residents.
• Perform duties in a safe and sanitary manner.
• Supervise staff in the absence of the Director of Nutritional Services.
• Attend meetings and in-services as required.
