Job summary

Socorro Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious meals and supplements for residents following Federal, State and Corporate guidelines. You will maintain safety and sanitation, and step in to supervise staff when the Director is away.

Responsibilities also include attending meetings, presenting a professional image to residents, and upholding residents' rights while addressing concerns in a respectful manner.

Qualifications

• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Basic understanding of cleanliness, organization and safety.
• Prior food service and/or long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious and attractive meals and supplements for residents per requirements.
• Perform duties in a safe and sanitary manner.
• Supervise staff in the absence of the Director of Nutritional Services.
• Attend meetings and in-services as required.
• Present a professional image to consumers and resolve concerns while protecting residents' rights.
