Job summary

White Acres Assisted Living is seeking a diligent cook to prepare nutritious meals and supplements for residents in a timely and attractive manner. You will work under established safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure high standards of service.

In addition to cooking duties, you may supervise staff in the absence of the Director of Nutritional Services and participate in required meetings and trainings to support resident well-being and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Basic understanding of cleanliness, organization and safety.
• Prior food service and/or long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and supplements for residents in a timely and appealing manner.
• Maintain safe, sanitary dining and kitchen practices in accordance with requirements.
• Supervise staff in the absence of the Director of Nutritional Services.
• Attend meetings and in-services as required.
