River Edge Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in food preparation and serving while maintaining clean and sanitary kitchen and dining areas under the dietary director's supervision.

The role emphasizes accurate tray setup, food safety, teamwork, and reliable communication in a hospital or long-term care setting. High school diploma or GED is required, with preferred facility experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in hospital or long-term care dietary department preferred.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Professional demeanor with ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work in a team and under pressure with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks.
• Set up trays and deliver meals to residents.
• Check trays for menu and diet preferences and accuracy.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining areas, and equipment.
• Wash dishes and sanitize trays and utensils.
• Stock and store food items and assist with inventory.
• Report hazardous conditions or incidents as needed.
• Work with minimal supervision and adapt to changes.
