Job summary

Waverly-Hills-Post-Acute is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal service and kitchen cleanliness. You will set up meal trays, assist with serving meals, and help maintain a sanitary dining area, reporting to the Cook and Dietary supervisor.

Responsibilities include learning routines quickly, operating the dishwasher, checking dishwashing water temperatures, preparing nourishments, sweeping and mopping, and helping with stocking groceries.

Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain food handler certificate.
• Ability to read and follow recipes/technical procedures.
• Ability to learn food service routines quickly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Operate dishwasher and monitor chlorine concentration and water temperature.
• Clean work surfaces, refrigerators, and kitchen floors.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation.
• Carry out grocery stocking and proper storage as needed.
• Participate in orientation and training of dietary staff.
