Job summary

(Sherwood Oaks Post Acute) Westlake Oaks Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Dietary Aide General Purpose to support meal service in our facility. You will learn the food service routine quickly, set up meal trays, assist with serving meals, and maintain kitchen cleanliness under the supervision of the Cook and Dietary supervisor.

Responsibilities include checking dishwasher temperatures, operating the dishwasher, preparing nourishments, cleaning surfaces and floors, and participating in staff

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain food handlers' certificate.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routine within a short period.
• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving the different meals.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwashing machine at the beginning of shift.
• Observe the water temperatures of dishwasher during dishwashing cycles.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen.
• Carry out trash and garbage.
• Put groceries away in a safe, orderly and clean manner.
• Leave the kitchen clean and sanitary and assist the cook or dietary supervisor.
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
