Job summary

Skye-Canyon-Post-Acute is seeking a Dietary Aide to support daily food service operations in a health care setting. You will learn the routine quickly, set up meal trays, assist with serving, and help with dishwashing and kitchen hygiene.

Responsibilities include monitoring water and chemical levels in the dishwasher, preparing nourishments, and maintaining a clean, safe work area while collaborating with the dietary supervisor and Cook.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must obtain and maintain a food handlers’ certificate.
• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Ability to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to solve practical problems.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Check chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwasher at shift start.
• Operate the dishwasher and prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep, mop the kitchen and maintain clean work surfaces.
• Carry groceries away in a safe, orderly manner and keep the kitchen sanitary.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
