Job summary

Twinsburg Post Acute is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in daily food service operations within the kitchen and dining area. You will learn routines quickly, set up meal trays, and support dishwashing and cleaning tasks to maintain a sanitary environment.

You will follow recipes, help serve meals, monitor dishwashing water temperatures, and assist with nourishments, groceries, and kitchen upkeep. A food handler certificate is required and ongoing training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to learn food service routine within a short period.
• Ability to read and follow technical procedures and recipes.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving the different meals.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine at the beginning of shift.
• Observe the water temperatures of the dishwasher during dishwashing cycles.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen.
• Carry out trash and garbage.
• Put groceries away in a safe, orderly and clean manner.
• Leave the kitchen in a clean and sanitary manner and assist when called upon by the cook or dietary supervisor.
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
• Ability to work in cooperation with personnel in all departments.
