Job summary

Presidential Post Acute is seeking a Dietary Aide to support daily food service operations. You will set up meal trays, assist with serving meals, wash dishes, and maintain a clean kitchen area, reporting to the Cook and Dietary supervisor.

The role requires reading procedures and following recipes, knowledge of food safety, and the ability to work cooperatively with staff across departments. High school diploma or equivalent and a food handlers’ certificate are required.

Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain food handlers’ certificate.
• Ability to learn food service routines quickly.
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.
• Ability to solve practical problems and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Operate and monitor dishwashing machine; wash dishes.
• Clean and sanitize work surfaces, refrigerators, and floors.
• Carry out trash disposal and stocking groceries.
• Participate in staff orientation and training.
