Job summary

Kalispell Assisted Living is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal service and kitchen operations on site in Kalispell, MT. You will set up trays, assist with serving, and help maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen environment.

The role requires the ability to learn routines quickly, read recipes and procedures, and apply basic math to measurements and proportions. A food handlers’ certificate is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Must have or obtain food handlers’ certificate.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and technical procedures.
• Strong mathematical skills to apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces, equipment and refrigerators; operate and monitor dishwashing area.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwashing machine.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks; sweep, mop, and maintain kitchen floors.
• Assist with training of dietary staff and cooperate with other departments.
