Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.
• Must obtain and maintain a food handlers' certificate.
• Physical ability to stand/walk frequently and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work with team and adhere to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routines quickly.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving the different meals.
• Check and record water temperature of the dishwashing machine.
• Operate the dishwasher and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop the kitchen and maintain floors.
• Carry out trash and garbage disposal.
• Put groceries away safely.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and assist the cook or supervisor.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing dietary staff training.
