Job summary

Cottingham Care Community is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide to assist with meal preparation and service for residents in a healthcare setting. You will follow dietary guidelines, prepare trays, deliver meals, and support the dietary team while maintaining clean, safe dining areas and providing excellent resident service.

On-the-job training is provided, with a focus on portion control, food safety, teamwork, and adapting to varied dietary needs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food service or a healthcare environment preferred but not required.
• On-the-job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and serving meals according to menus and dietary guidelines.
• Serve meals with portion control and accommodate resident preferences.
• Prepare food trays, deliver meals to residents or patients.
• Maintain kitchen and dining cleanliness and follow sanitation procedures.
• Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies.
