Job summary

Hawthorn Glen Nursing Center is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal preparation and delivery for residents. You will follow diets, assist the cook, and ensure meals are served on time with accuracy. Strong teamwork and adherence to policies are essential.

You will help maintain a clean dining environment, handle trays and dishware, and contribute to a respectful, resident-centered culture. Previous food service experience is helpful, but training is provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

• Commitment to following safety and sanitation policies.
• Willingness to learn menus, diets, and resident preferences.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all food functions according to policies and procedures.
• Prepare and deliver meals to nurses' station and resident trays.
• Set up resident meals per diet cards and menus.
• Deliver meals on time and collect trays and dishware.
• Break down trays, wash items, and restock supplies.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work area and report hazards.
