Job summary

Lionstone Healthcare is hiring a Dietary Aide to support food service and meal delivery on the nursing floor. You will assist in meal preparation, tray assembly, and delivery to residents and nurses, following diet orders and sanitation standards.

A collaborative, respectful work culture supports professional growth and meaningful impact. Responsibilities include resident meal setup, tray delivery, sanitation tasks, and assisting the cook with substitutions or special meals.

Qualifications

• Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept feedback.
• Ability to deal tactfully with staff, residents, families and the public.
• Maintain care and use of supplies and keep work areas neat.
• Minimize waste and prevent misuse of equipment.
• Seek new methods and be willing to adapt practices.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Be a supportive team member and promote teamwork.
• Make independent decisions when warranted.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all food functions following policies and procedures.
• Deliver meals to nurses and residents and place trays as directed.
• Prepare meals according to diet cards and menus for trays.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the department per checklists.
• Take calls from nursing staff and residents and fulfill requests promptly.
• Assist cook when needed and make authorized substitutions.
