Lionstone Healthcare in the United States is seeking a dependable Dietary Aide to support meal service for residents. You will assist with food preparation, tray assembly, meal delivery, and sanitation, following established dietary guidelines and safety procedures to ensure quality care.

As a team member, you’ll coordinate with nursing staff, cooks, and supervisors to deliver meals on time, maintain a clean dining environment, and help residents with special diet needs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, staff, visitors, and others.
• Maintain care and use of supplies and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Minimize waste and manage stock efficiently.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food functions following established policies.
• Prepare and deliver items to the nurses' station and trays.
• Set up resident meals trays according to specified diets.
• Place hot and cold items on trays at mealtime according to diet cards.
• Deliver and retrieve meal trays on the nursing floor.
• Break down trays and clean equipment; restock as needed.
• Take out trash and maintain a clean, sanitized work area.
• Accept requests from nursing staff and residents and fulfill promptly.
• Assist cooks and make authorized food substitutions.
• Help prepare meals for special occasions.
