Job summary

Lionstone Healthcare is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal service for residents, assist kitchen staff, and ensure meals meet diet requirements. The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and cleanliness in a care-focused environment.

Responsibilities include preparing and delivering meals, maintaining sanitation, and supporting residents and nursing staff with meals and dietary needs during shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions and accept constructive criticism.
• Must deal tactfully with residents, family members, staff and the public.
• Must maintain care and use of supplies and equipment, and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Must minimize waste of supplies and equipment and be willing to adopt new methods.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to all food functions as directed and follow policies.
• Prepare and deliver meals to nurses' station at appropriate times.
• Set up resident meals trays according to diets and menu cards.
• Place items on trays and deliver to nursing floors at mealtimes.
• Break down trays, clean, and restock dish machine as needed.
• Assist cook and make authorized food substitutions.
