Job summary

Vancrest of Urbana, Inc. is seeking a Dietary Aide to support hospital-style dining for residents. The role involves reviewing menus, inspecting diet trays, and completing administrative forms for the Director of Food Services.

You will coordinate dietary service with other departments and work with the facility's Dietician and Supervisors to implement changes while ensuring all dietary procedures are followed. Food production on-time delivery and inventory management are part of daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing menus prior to preparation of food.
• Inspecting special diet trays to assure they are correct.
• Performing administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc., and submitting to the Director of Food Services.
• Coordinating dietary service with other departments as necessary.
• Working with the facility's Dietician, Dietetic Technician and other Supervisors as necessary and implementing recommended changes as required.
• Assuring that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
• Assisting in establishing food service production line, etc., to assure that meals are prepared on time.
• Processing diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Services and approved by the Director of Food Service.
• Performing dishwashing/cleaning procedures. Assuring that utensils, etc., are readily available for next meal.
• Assisting in inventorying and storing in-coming food, supplies, etc., as necessary.
