Job summary

Fundamental is seeking a Dietary Aide to help prepare and serve meals to patients, employees, and residents. You will follow the menu and diet orders, assist the cook with proper portions and safe handling, and help with dishwashing as needed.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, fluency in English, and reliable transportation. A food handler’s permit is preferred and prior LTC food service experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (minimum)
• Food handler’s permit preferred per local requirements
• Experience in food prep/service in LTC or skilled nursing preferred
• Must speak, understand, and write fluent English
• Reliable transportation required

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and/or service of meals for patients, employees, and events as directed
• Serve food according to menu/spreadsheet and diet orders
• Assist the Cook by ensuring proper portioning and safe food handling
• May wash dishes when necessary or directed by Dietary Manager
