Job summary

The Waters of Huntington is seeking a Dietary Aide to support the Dietary Department. You will perform prescribed routines, assist the cook with meal preparation, and ensure meals meet schedule and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include maintaining sanitation, following infection control policies, and lifting up to 50 lbs while providing residents with respect and dignity in service delivery.

Qualifications

• Must read, understand and follow recipe directions, diet orders, tray cards and work assignments.
• Good motor coordination and manual dexterity for preparing items, serving trays and cleaning areas.
• Willing to work flexible hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform designated dietary routines and cleaning tasks as assigned by the Dietary Manager.
• Assist cook in meal preparation and service.
• Meet scheduled meal and snack times.
• Follow Federal and State long-term care regulations and department policies.
• Maintain sanitation and safe work environment.
• Assist in receiving and storing food supplies and reporting equipment needs.
