Legacy Healthcare Center, located on Jamieson Road in Saint Louis, is seeking dedicated candidates to join our team!

We are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals to assist in the kitchen of our residential care facility in Saint Louis, MO. Promise Care Center is a third-generation family-owned organization committed to caring for people. We provide a safe, pleasant home for adults with mental illness and aim to go 'beyond the norm' to enhance residents' quality of life. Your role will involve completing kitchen duties during the weekend shift in accordance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. Self-motivation and energy are essential.

Essential Functions:

1. Set up dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order
2. Prepare meals under supervision
3. Ensure timely meal preparation meeting quality standards
4. Follow food handling procedures and regulations
5. Deliver dishes and trays to designated rooms
6. Clear dining areas and collect used items
7. Dispose of leftovers and manage garbage
8. Clean food stations and wash dishes and utensils
9. Stock ingredients and monitor inventory
10. Assist in expense tracking and menu planning
11. Maintain kitchen equipment and appliances
12. Keep the kitchen environment clean and organized
13. Support the Dietary Manager with dietary-related tasks
14. Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience in customer service is a plus
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
• Skill in meal preparation according to instructions
• Ability to operate cookware and appliances

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Effective use of kitchen equipment
• Experience in fine dining is advantageous

Working Environment and Physical Requirements:

• Good communication skills
• Physical stamina and condition
