Job summary

Meadows Post Acute in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our Skilled Nursing Facility team. You will assist kitchen staff in preparing and serving meals to residents while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

The role emphasizes following dietary requirements, proper food handling, and teamwork with the Cook and Dietary Manager. Prior food service or healthcare experience is preferred; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in food service or healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to read and follow menus, recipes, and instructions.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and cooking.
• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary requirements and portion control.
• Follow menus and prepare food items as directed by the Cook or Dietary Manager.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas as assigned on cleaning schedule.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
