Job summary

Orchard view Post Acute is seeking a dietary aide to support meal service, tray setup, and dishwashing in a busy kitchen. You will learn routine food service tasks quickly and assist the cook and dietary supervisor as needed.

Responsibilities include maintaining sanitation, handling nourishments, recording dishwashing checks, and helping with tray assembly. Requires reading recipes and teamwork in a hospital-like setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Food handlers' certificate must be obtained.
• Ability to read and follow recipes accurately.
• Ability to learn and perform standard food service routines.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Strip down returned trays and operate the dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks; maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces.
• Check chlorine concentration and monitor water temperature of dishwashing equipment.
• Sweep, mop, and sanitize floors; manage trash and groceries.
• Participate in orientation and training of dietary staff.
