Job summary

Orchard Post Acute is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to assist with meal preparation and service according to approved menus and resident dietary needs, in a supportive kitchen environment.

You will assemble meal trays, follow special diets and textures, maintain sanitation, and work closely with dietary and nursing staff to provide timely, courteous service. Competitive pay ranges from $17.48 to $17.50 per hour, with training and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Previous food service or healthcare dietary experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn and follow meal preparation and sanitation procedures.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.
• Dependable attendance and a positive attitude.
• Ability to perform essential job duties, with reasonable accommodations as needed.
• A caring approach to working with residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and service according to approved menus and resident dietary needs.
• Assemble meal trays with the correct foods, portions, beverages, and utensils.
• Follow instructions for special diets, food textures, and resident preferences.
• Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen, dining, and food storage areas.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Assist with receiving, labeling, and storing food and supplies.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention procedures.
• Communicate resident meal concerns to the Dietary Supervisor.
• Work cooperatively with dietary and nursing staff to provide timely, courteous service.
