Job summary

Senior Lifestyle Corporation is seeking a Food Service Assistant to support dining services in our Gorham, ME community. You will help prepare and serve meals, assist with room service, and ensure meals meet dietary and presentation standards.

The role requires basic cooking skills, good communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Shifts are early morning with every other weekend, and staff training is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Serv Safe or local certification preferred.
• Capable of communicating well verbally with residents and staff.
• Basic cooking and meal preparation knowledge.
• Understanding of therapeutic diets and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in serving meals and room service as directed.
• Set up, deliver, and verify meal trays and dining areas.
• Assist cooks with menu items and inventory control.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in dining areas and kitchens.
• Follow health regulations and dining policies; attend training.
