Job summary

Heritage Park Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Austin, TX is seeking a full-time kitchen assistant to support daily meal preparation, service, and sanitation. The role requires following state regulations and safety protocols.

Essential Functions

• Assist with food prep and cooking following universal precautions and state/federal regulations
• Preparing and serving beverages
• Setting up and passing trays for meal service
• Stocking snack cart
• Bussing of tables and trays
• Cleaning the kitchen work area
• Dishwashing
• Follow proper handwashing guidelines
• Additional special projects or tasks can be assigned at times by the CDM or the Executive Director

Qualifications: Educational/Training Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Licensing Requirements

• Must have Texas Food Handler Certificate

Experience Requirements

• Working in a commercial kitchen experience is preferred
