Job summary

Regency Integrated Health Services is seeking a Dietary Aide at Harlingen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Harlingen, TX. The role supports daily meal service, food preparation, and sanitation under the direction of the CDM.

Responsibilities include assisting with food prep, serving beverages, setting up and passing trays, stocking snacks, bussing, and cleaning the kitchen area while following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have Texas Food Handler Certificate.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen preferred.

Primary Responsibilities

The Dietary Aide follows the direction of the Certified Dietary Manager and state guidelines to ensure that food is properly prepared, served to residents, and after meals are completed cleanup of the dining hall and dishes.

Essential Functions

• Assist with food prep and cooking following universal precautions and state/federal regulations
• Preparing and serving beverages
• Setting up and passing trays for meal service
• Stocking snack cart
• Bussing of tables and trays
• Cleaning the kitchen work area
• Dishwashing
• Follow proper handwashing guidelines
• Additional special projects or tasks can be assigned at times by the CDM or the Executive Director

Qualifications Educational/Training Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Licensing Requirements

• Must have Texas Food Handler Certificate

Experience Requirements

• Working in a commercial kitchen experience is preferred
