Position Type: PRN

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with food prep and cooking following universal precautions and state/federal regulations.
• Preparing and serving beverages.
• Setting up and passing trays for meal service.
• Stocking snack cart.
• Bussing tables and trays.
• Cleaning the kitchen work area.
• Dishwashing.
• Follow proper handwashing guidelines.
• Complete additional special projects or tasks assigned by the CDM or Executive Director.

Essential Functions

• Support the Certified Dietary Manager in ensuring proper food preparation, service, and cleanup.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining hall and kitchen.
• Handle all food service equipment and utensils safely.

Qualifications

Educational/Training Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Licensing Requirements

• Must have Texas Food Handler Certificate.

Experience Requirements

• Experience in a commercial kitchen preferred.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50+ lbs frequently.
• Ability to stand, sit, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to drive, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, listen, see, turn, twist, and lean as required.
