Job summary

The Grove at Valhalla Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our team. You will assist in meal tray assembly, label food, deliver to nursing units, and help keep the kitchen clean and organized.

Candidates should have dietary aide experience, be able to follow procedures, work well with residents and staff, maintain a positive attitude, and contribute to a supportive, patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must have dietary aide experience (LTC preferred but not required).
• Able to follow and understand procedures.
• Positive attitude, patience and team mentality.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assembling and checking diet trays prior to distribution to ensure all residents receive the proper meals to meet dietary needs.
• Label and date food properly.
• Deliver food carts to designated areas and collect food trays when meals are finished to return to the dish room.
• Work in dish room, wash dishes and utensils utilizing dish machine.
• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units.
• Ensure kitchen stays clean at all times, sweep/mop floors as instructed.
• Carry out garbage.

Dietary Aide

The Grove at Valhalla Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is looking for a talented and hard-working Dietary Aide to join our team.

Dietary Aide Duties Include:

• Assist in assembling and checking diet trays prior to distribution to ensure all residents receive the proper meals to meet dietary needs.


• Label and date food properly


• Deliver food carts to designated areas as well as collecting food trucks when meals are finished to return to the dish room.


• Work in dish room, wash all dishes//utensils utilizing dish machine.


• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units.


• Ensure kitchen stays clean at all times, sweep/mop floors as instructed.


• Carry out garbage

Dietary Aide Requirements/Qualifications:

• Must have dietary aide experience (LTC preferred but not required)


• Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, etc...


• Able to follow and understand procedures


• Positive attitude, patience and team mentality

Salary: $17 an hour
