Job summary

The Grove at Valhalla Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our dining services team. The role involves assembling diet trays, labeling meals, and delivering food to residents with care and accuracy.

You will assist in dish duty, keep areas clean, and help with snacks and tray delivery. This position emphasizes teamwork and a positive attitude in a fast-paced LTC environment.

Qualifications

• Must have dietary aide experience; LTC preferred but not required.
• Able to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors and staff.
• Follow procedures with a positive attitude and patience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assembling and checking diet trays to meet residents' dietary needs.
• Label and date food properly and deliver to designated areas.
• Deliver food carts and collect after meals; return to dish room.
• Operate the dish room, washing dishes and utensils.
• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units.
• Keep the kitchen area clean; sweep and mop as instructed.
• Carry out garbage disposal.

Dietary Aide

The Grove at Valhalla Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is looking for a talented and hard-working Dietary Aide to join our team.

Duties Include:

• Assist in assembling and checking diet trays prior to distribution to ensure all residents receive the proper meals to meet dietary needs.
• Label and date food properly
• Deliver food carts to designated areas as well as collecting food trucks when meals are finished to return to the dish room.
• Work in dish room, wash all dishes/utensils utilizing dish machine.
• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units.
• Ensure kitchen stays clean at all times, sweep/mop floors as instructed.
• Carry out garbage

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Must have dietary aide experience (LTC preferred but not required)
• Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, etc...
• Able to follow and understand procedures
• Positive attitude, patience and team mentality

Salary:$17 an hour
