Job summary

Recover-Care seeks a Dietary Aide to assist with meal preparation, service, and cleanup for patients and staff in the nursing center and at special events. You will work under the food service director, following production sheets, labeling nourishments, and preparing desserts and non-entrée foods; prior food service and long-term care experience are preferred.

• The dietary aide candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand English for business necessity.
• Basic understanding of sanitation, organization and safety.
• Prior experience in food service preferred.
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred.

Dietary Aide:

Performs a variety of tasks usually not requiring cooking skills in the preparation, service, and clean up for meals served to patients and staff in the nursing center and other special events.

• Prepares and portions desserts, salads and other non-entrée foods into dishes; pours beverages
• Follows production sheets and pre-preparation sheets or guidelines when appropriate

QUALIFICATIONS
