Job summary

Hcshiring is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide for evening shifts to prepare meals for residents and handle related duties in a senior care setting.

You will plate, sanitize, and assist with feeding while upholding infection control and safety standards. Strong English skills and excellent customer service are required to support a home-like environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
• Demonstrates compassion and interest in working with the senior population.
• Strong customer service skills and clear communications.
• Maintains infection control standards and safe, clean environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for residents and assist with food preparation as needed.
• Plate meals and ensure proper presentation.
• Wash and sanitize dishes and utensils.
• Fill requests and maintain condiment/beverage stations.
• Interact professionally with residents, families, volunteers and staff.

As a dietary aide, you will prepare food for residents and fill requests. You will also plate food, wash and sanitize dishes.

You Will:

• Ensure that condiment and beverage containers are clean and filled
• Assist with food preparation as needed
• Maintain infection control standards
• Plate food
• Wash and sanitize dishes
• Relate and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other employees

You Currently:

• Can obtain Food Handler’s card
• Read, write, speak and understand English
• Lift and move up to 40 pounds
• Have compassion and interest in working with the senior population
• Maintain a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe demeanor
• Have excellent customer service skills
• Support dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents
