Job summary

Goldwater Care is seeking a Part-Time Dietary Aide to assist with meal preparation and service in a healthcare setting. You will follow planned menus, prepare snacks, and ensure sanitary standards are met.

Responsibilities include delivering food trays, serving in the dining room, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness. The role requires attention to dietary needs, ability to pass a background check, and minimum 18 years of age.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• One year of dietary experience in a healthcare facility is preferred but not required.

• Review, prepare, and serve meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Prepare and serve nutritional bedtime snacks and substitute foods as needed.
• Ensure food is prepared in accordance with sanitary regulations.
• Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures; keep utensils ready for the next meal.
• Deliver snacks and meals to designated areas and serve in dining room.
• Sweep and mop floors in kitchen and dish area as directed by supervisor.

Job description

Part-Time: 4pm-8pm and every other weekend

The Dietary Aide is responsible for providing assistance in all food functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established food policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review, prepare, and serve meals in accordance with planned menus with standardized recipes and special diet orders.

• Prepare and serve residents nutritional bedtime snacks as well as substitute foods for residents who refuse foods served.

• Ensure food, etc., is prepared in accordance with sanitary regulations.

• Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures assuring that utensils, etc., are readily available for next meal.

• Prepare and deliver snacks, etc., as instructed. Deliver food carts/trays to designated areas.

• Serve food and drinks in the dining room as instructed.

• Sweeping & mopping floors in the kitchen/dish room as instructed by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 18 years of age.

• Must be able to pass a background check.

• One (1) year dietary experience in a healthcare facility or other institution is preferred but not required.
