Job summary

Bethany Home in Sioux Falls is hiring a Dietary Aide to support dining services for residents. This full-time role operates 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM, 4–5 days per week, every other weekend. Competitive pay and a retention bonus are offered.

Responsibilities include storing and delivering meals, verifying dietary cards, and maintaining sanitation and safety standards in a senior care environment. Prior food service or healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior food service or cooking experience preferred.
• Experience in senior care or healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Positive attitude and reliability.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Properly store, label, and handle food and cleaning products
• Deliver meals and nourishments in a timely and organized manner
• Ensure trays match resident dietary cards and preferences
• Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, carts, and work areas
• Safely dispose of waste and maintain kitchen cleanliness
• Follow infection control and sanitation policies

Retention Bonus: $1,500 over your first year

Pay Range: $16.00 – $17.00/hour (based on experience)

Schedule

• Full-time, 4-5 days per week 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
