Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a dietary aide to support the preparation, service, and cleanup of meals for patients, staff, and special events in the nursing center.

You will assist cooks, label nourishments, portion desserts and salads, pour beverages, and follow production sheets while maintaining sanitation and safety standards. Prior experience in food service or long-term care is preferred.

Qualifications

• The dietary aide candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand English for business necessity.
• Basic understanding of sanitation, organization and safety.
• Prior experience in food service preferred.
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred.

Job description

Objective

Performs a variety of tasks usually not requiring cooking skills in the preparation, service, and clean up for meals served to patients and staff in the nursing center and other special events.

Food Preparation/Production Responsibilities

• Follows production sheets and pre-preparation sheets or guidelines when appropriate
